It was a proud day for Race One as we hosted over 700 Surf Life Saving WA nippers at the 2023 Shaw and Partners WA Race Week Nipper Clinic.
Nippers from all over Perth converged at Sorrento SLSC for a free 90-minute clinic with some of the world's best Ironmen, Ironwomen, and surf ski athletes.
The exceptional instructor lineup for the Shaw and Partners Nipper Clinic included Race One Brand Ambassadors Ali Day, Kendrick Louis, Cory Hill, Georgia Miller, Hannah Sculley, Jemma Smith, Zach & Jake Morris, and Cory Taylor.
The nippers had the opportunity to meet and train with their idols, participating in a series of drills in the surf and on the beach.
“I’ve conducted other clinics with the Ironman series,” remarked Race One Brand Ambassador and 9-time Coolangatta Gold winner Ali Day, “but the enthusiasm here is unparalleled. I hope that we, the 13 instructors, have inspired them to continue with Surf Life Saving and to carry this passion into their later years – and for the rest of their lives.”
Witnessing all these nippers take to the sand was truly inspiring. The event marked a vibrant start to the Shaw and Partners WA Race Week. It was an unforgettable day for all involved, particularly for the hundreds of inspired nippers who left with autographed cards from their favourite athletes.
